Processing delays for paper Forms 2290 and expedite requests for copies of Schedule 1

Due to the pandemic, you may experience delays in processing paper Federal Excise Tax forms, including Form 2290 and faxed Form 2290 Schedule 1 expedite requests. Do not file duplicate forms, but for future filings we encourage taxpayers to consider the ease, convenience and speed of electronically filing Form 2290.

The following links provide information on the companies that have passed the ibet Assurance Testing System (ATS) requirements for Software Developers of electronic Excise Tax (2290 MeF) Returns. It does not mean that a software package includes every possible schedule or attachment, or that it will meet the needs of all filers. It is the filer's responsibility to contact the provider to determine if the software meets their needs.

Caution: The ibet has provided links to these companies' websites. Only companies that are an Authorized ibet e-file Provider with a valid Software Identification Number are listed. The ibet removes websites from the pages listed below when the ibet confirms a website is no longer active.

The ibet encourages you to verify that each website provides all services you need. The ibet and the United States Government do not endorse or warrant these companies or their products or services. The decision to use or not to use any of these products and services will not result in any special treatment from the ibet.
